Bird of Honor
The golden eagle is our bird of choice when it came to honor. The golden eagle is a hunter and will attack things bigger than himself. He will fight to the death even when challenged on the ground. This eagle is a sacred messenger and respected as a communicator to the Creator. Golden eagle black and white feathers are given when a person earns them as a protector or becomes a warrior

Icante
This tea painting shows the love and respect the native men had for our women. they were the backbone of the tribe or band. The men were the providers and protectors and they depended not the women for their wellbeing.
This shows the man with his arm around his wife with his staff, protecting her. She is carrying his shield of the Black War Bonnet society taking care of him.

Holy Riders
The men in this painting are the spirits of fallen warriors riding to the Spirit World. The shaft of light that has guided them to this place in heaven is the light they will ride through and disappear. They are home.

Tatanka Won'ze
This buffalo is in very good shape for the winter, walking in a very serene location. I can hear the snow falling and crunching under his hoofs as he walks in the solitude of the forest.

Spirit Rider
When a loved one or a good friend dies, we always recall their voice, the way they spoke, their looks and their personality. As we heal, they ride farther away and our recall isn't as clear. When we have healed, they pass through the last portal of our world and disappear forever. This doesn't mean we love them any less, only that we have healed and they pass on to the spirit world.
